I have recently published a new edition to my book, Beyond the Horizon. I have worked in the medical field for 49 years and had the pleasure of seeing many people get well and live a productive life. The past few years I have been involve with hospice care, which as you know, involves people who do not get well and recover from their illnesses.
I have been privileged and honored to be a witness and a part of their end of life experiences. Some people leave this life at peace and assurance of their eternal destination. But sometimes, I see people struggle with the thought of their mortality because they have questions about the what and where of the end of this life. Many times I have been able to assist people to overcome their fear of death, by leading them to the knowledge of Christ and what's on the other side of this life for them.
As I watched some people struggle I began to look for material that could assist them with the truth about death. The books that I discovered deal with the emotional aspect of grief and suffering. I wanted to be able to give readers the assurance and scriptural peace of the actual "death experience" according to the Word of God. I didn't want to publish another book on man's interpretation of what that means. I desired to give actual scriptural basis of the truth which brings an everlasting peace.
The book has been so well received that we have already printed another edition and have been requested to place the book in nursing facilities, funeral homes and hospice. If you have questions or fears about your own eternal destiny, I invite you to read my book and prayerfully consider the evidence presented. We are all one heartbeat and breath away from eternity. What do you think is awaiting you on the other side of this life?
Disciple of Christ,
Beyond The Horizon
Ministry of Charles Branz
Chuck Branz is especially qualified to write on the topic of overcoming the fear of death. In forty-nine years in the medical profession, he has seen the devastating effects of this fear on countless patients and their families. As a pastor, he has often helped people trying to cope with the prospect of imminent death through palliative care and hospice ministry. Many times, as he has shared the simple message presented in this book, he has seen fear and despair turn to joy. Chuck does not attempt to cover the emotional aspects of death, grief, and suffering in this book. But he explains clearly and simply the timeless truth that death is not the end of life - it is a step beyond our horizon.
